I have volunteered with youth of this area and assisted with events and activities at Weber High School.

As a council member I will support and vote for the items and areas that are necessary to run this city efficiently.
I will promote and stand for issues and plans that will steer North Ogden toward growth with budget restraints to assure city expenses do not exceed the city budget.

I will only vote in favor of bonding for any future improvement when it is clear the residents of the city are in favor of it and understand all the fee and tax impacts.
I will work for an improved Aquatic Center that will pay a larger percentage of its expenses.
I support the plan to have parks close to all residents.
I expect the growth of this city to be controlled through an active Economic Development Committee and listening to input from residents of the city.
About Merrill Sunderland
I am a retired engineer and process auditor.
I am committed to keeping the North Ogden community a growing, safe, and desirable place to live.
I was a Quality Auditor of development processes for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulated aircraft control systems.
I administered the Risk and Opportunity processes of a commercial aircraft development. I controlled the process to identify and resolve project risks.
Bachelor of Science degree from BYU.
I was a board member and president of a large lot owner’s association. I administered the association’s legal, financial, operational, and developmental needs.
I participagted in and organized a team for the American Cancer Society relaty for life.
I am proud of my son’s work to get the stump in the centennial park.
I am a resident of North Ogden from 1982 – 2006 and 2020 – present.
